The Vocational Evaluation Process

 

Our Vocational experts have more than 20 years of experience serving as authoritative voices in the areas of vocational rehabilitation, earning capacity, lost earnings, transferable skills analysis, and cost of replacement labor. Our experts have advanced graduate degrees in rehabilitative counseling and are certified rehabilitative counselors. They have experience providing expert testimony in disability, personal injury, and workers’ compensation cases for both the plaintiff and the defense.

 

Our vocational experts will conduct a comprehensive review of all medical records and an in depth interview with the injured worker. They will obtain information relating to level of education, work history, vocational training, language, earning history and other relevant information. They will assess
 

  • The extent of the injury;

  • The amount of time needed to recover;

  • The limitations on the person’s ability to do work in the future;

  • The available jobs in the region based upon the person’s physical limitations.

 

  •  Based on the injury, what the person will likely earn following the accident;

  • Calculate the value of the expected earnings over time and the difference between pre and post injury earnings.
